lowrance x96 sonar fishfinder?
can anyone please tell me if this model of lawrace is a good product? is it easy to install? is it good for fiding baitfish, game fish, structures? does it work well? any information that would tell me wether or not to buy this product, tell me your opinion about this product.
"pros-
The X96 unit works flawlessly. The display allows a great deal of flexibility and can be tailored to any need. The detail of the display is also excellent and far exceeded my expectations. I find the menus and pages easy to use and the manual useful. I ordered mine with the speed sensor option and installation of the paddle wheel was easy.
cons-
1.The electrical connectors on the back of the unit are not very good. They make it difficult to remove/install the unit in-between trips. I don't feel confident that they will last a long time either.
2. By design, using two tiny "toothed" washers (don't drop or damage them!!!), installation of the transducer was a nightmare. If you are not mechanically inclined or have poor eyesight, you are in for a real treat.
If these two issues were to be corrected by Lowrance, you would have a 5 star product."

how to use the features on an eagle fish finder on our bass boat in the usa?
our boat,recently purchased has an eagle fish finder,FISH MARK 320 with various features (functions),one large top button,curcer type,eight buttons,two side by side,top left to right and going down are:ZOUT,ZIN,PAGES,ALARM,MENU,EXIT,ENT,POWER/LIGHT.
Front fishfinder,EAGLE CUDA 168,with MENU UP and MENU DOWN.

What type of fishing vessel parts might somebody want? Here is a list of some of those fishing vessel parts and information about them.
Of course, there are fish finders. Some fish finders are very basic and simply show the location of the fish in the water if they can be detected at all. Generally, fish finders work by detecting the air that is in fish's bladder. The display then shows where the fish are located.
There are some more advanced fish finders. These show structures where fish may be hiding. They may also show some of the fish that are considered "bait fish" where the sport fish would gather and feed off of those bait fish.
Sonar is also something that may be wanted as a fishing vessel part. It's not like a fish finder although fish as well as other things underwater are detected. What happens with sonar is that cone-shaped pulses of sound are sent downward at different frequencies many times per second. The sound then bounces off underwater objects. Sonar is great for fishing vessels because it helps to detect ledges and dropoffs in the water. This allows anglers to know bottom looks like and if there are any areas where fish generally hide.
Another great fishing vessel part is a GPS system. Many anglers know where they are going with a boat. However, if this is not the case, a GPS system is perfect. Even for those anglers who are certain they know where they are, a GPS system allows them to explore more of the body of water and mark where they fish rather than just taking chance that they can find the spot again. The GPS tracks location and allows anglers to know exactly where they are. They have with either internal or external antennas.
Another great fishing vessel part is a depth detector. Certain fish tend to only stay at certain depths. Many fisherman know which species stay in which depth and they can find those spots if they have a depth detector.
The great part about all these fishing vessel parts is that they all can mount on the boat and be used easily - almost effortlessly. In fact, they work great in conjunction with one another. Two or more of these fishing vessel parts can be used together in order to help track locations and find fish. What angler would want these enhancements on any fishing boat?
